🏠 Scope of Ownership - 15 minutes

It is impossible for everyone on a team to have ownership for everything the company does. Hence, ownership has a scope within the larger organisation. One can have ownership (among many others) for

• a team (as a team lead or head-of), for
• a certain subject area (e.g. product marketing or frontend technology), for
• a specific project (website relaunch, feature XYZ), or even
• a particular tool (e.g. Salesforce, Google Analytics)

These scopes are layered and can overlap in different ways. A Scope of Ownership usually belongs to a person, not a team.
